After radio silence following a world tour in 2023, Swedish band Ghost released a teaser for their upcoming movie project on their social media pages!
It is rumoured that the movie will be a mix of live footage from the double night performance at Los Angeles' KIA forum, which took place on the 11th and 12th September 2023, as well as some potentially further plot into the Ghost lore.
The teaser featured a quick glimpse of the Sister Imperator character, in a suspiciously similar scene that is seen in The Exorcist, as well as Papa Emeritus IV taking his signature bow onstage. So what does the future hold for our beloved Papa?
"We were essentially shooting a film," said Ghost frontman Tobias Forge in Metal Hammer last year. "And we used two nights of crowds as extras… It's going to be a film with a concert element. So a lot of what you experienced [at the two LA shows] is going to be part of this project."
No news on a release date just yet, but it has been announced that the film will be shown in cinemas world wide! Get your popcorn ready!
