Just one month after the Prince of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne announced his retirement from touring, cancelling his long awaited dates for the 'No More Tours 2' tour, it seems the Brummie rocker can't stay away from the stage.
The Black Sabbath front man was named as one of the headliners for a brand new 'Mega-Rock' festival, Power Trip which will take place at the Empire Polo Field in Indio, California on October 6-8th. The Desert grounds are famous for hosting the infamous 'Coachella' festival, so it is exciting to see such large names such as AC/DC (who are also making a return after a 7 year touring hiatus) and Metallica along side Ozzy bringing a heavier event to the area.
The reactions to this news have been fairly mixed. Many fans who had held onto tickets for No More Tours 2 for almost 5 years (due to Ozzy's health battles and pandemic rescheduling) feel a bit cheated. Others are just excited to see that Ozzy is not quite done yet.
It wont come cheap though, with tickets starting from $599. Registration for tickets are available on Power Trip Festivals site.
