Before beginning their UK headline tour this week in support of their new album 'Blame The Young', October Drift has released the music video for their new single, 'Wallflower.'
'Wallflower' captures the subtle and frequently debilitating emotions of loneliness. It is a moving ode to people who, like many after the pandemic, find solace in solitude. The industrial visuals of the music video match the melancholic vibes of the track, which you can check out here:
“I guess the theme of being a wallflower, and of being the quiet observer, reflects the time I was writing the song, which was during lockdown. The ‘wallflower’ is watching from the wings and seeing the ugliness of the world and choosing not to engage. It reflects seeing altercations but not doing anything to intervene or being in a social situation where you can’t relate to anyone there.” says frontman Kiran Roy.
